Toronto — the center of Canadian shopping

Taking into consideration the diversity of trade centers in a big city like Toronto, it’s fair to say that shopping there will please both connoisseurs of the expensive branded things and those, who prefer economical purchases. The most expensive shopping awaits buyers on Bloor Street between Yonge Street and Avenue Road, where all the luxury boutiques are located: Tiffany&Co., Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Prada, Marciano, Escada, Max Mara, Hermes, etc. The Yonge Star has popular shops and shopping Malls as “Yorkvill”, “Sherway Gardens”, “Carrot Common”, “Woodbine Centre”, “Shoppers World Danforth”, etc. Small stores and private shops can be found on Cumberland Street — an avenue parallel to Bloor Street and beyond the Yorkville Avenue. Department stores and shoe shops, clothes and bags are on Queen Street West. There one can find great boutiques of wedding dresses and evening gowns.

The next place for shopaholics is the Toronto Eaton Center. It is situated in the business center of the megalopolis, full with skyscrapers, in Downtown, and offers over 250 trading places for every taste and budget. For fans of old fashion there is The Hudson’s Bay Company —the store of one of the largest Canadian corporations with long history. In addition, Toronto boasts the second largest North American Chinatown. Shopping there, as should be expected, is specific, but infinitely can be pleased with the variety of products and the prices at restaurants of local cuisine. The most Bohemian district is concentrated along Queen Street West. It is an area for lovers of vintage and retro things. Despite malls and shops, there are local markets, which deserve attention, especially Kensington Market and St. Lawrence Market, located in the historic parts of the city.

Scarborough Town Centre is the Mall, which is situated in the suburbs of Toronto. It has been working since 1973 and is included in the list of the big shopping Malls in Canada. Among the retail outlets are shops and boutiques of famous brands: The Bay, Walmart, Old Navy, Gap, H&M, Tommy Hilfiger, Sephora, Swarovski, etc. There are many cafes, eateries, restaurants, pharmacies and grocery departments.
